DESCRIPTION:10K Fun Run Walk around The Welbeck Estate Sunday 10th May 2026\nEach year the charity holds a 10K fun run/walk around the Welbeck Estate.  The 2026 Fun Run will be held on Sunday 10th May. \n\nThe Welbeck estate is not normally open to the public\, so this is a very privileged opportunity.\nThe course is suitable for a wide range of ages and abilities. Retford’s biggest event of the year will once again be taking over the town centre and Kings Park with all your favourite stallholders and many new ones besides. \nThis year’s headline entertainment act is the Sherwood Outlaws\, who will not only be performing medieval combat demonstrations in the main arena\, but will also be bringing their medieval village with them so you can explore the behind-the-scenes experience. \nThey will be supported by a range of acts including Go Active Falconry’s birds of prey display\, Harworth Brass Band performing all the best hits\, Crazy K9 Dog Shows featuring our canine companions\, Eurovision contestant Kian Butler and his Nottinghamshire-themed new song\, a classic motors display\, the Tuby funfair (operating in Retford for over a hundred years)\, the Duck Race\, and more! \nWhat’s the entry price\, we hear you ask? It’s free! That’s right – you can pop into Kings Park or the town centre at any time between 10.00am and 4.00pm for access to the all-day family entertainment. What’s more\, Bassetlaw District Council carparks will also be free on the day\, and\, the icing on the cake\, Retford Life is sponsoring free all-day face painting for kids in Kings Park! \nRetford Charter Day’s organisers are hugely grateful to our sponsors and partners\, including Bassetlaw District Council\, North Notts BID\, and Retford Life for making all this possible.
